Service Description
*All tools and materials supplied* This two-day introductory woodworking course is perfect for students who want to learn essential hand and power tool skills to aid them to correctly construct a small coffee table. This two-day course offers an immersive introduction to the art of furniture making using traditional hand tools. Participants will embark on a hands-on journey to craft a small coffee table using time-honored techniques such as mortise and tenon joinery. Throughout the course, participants will learn fundamental woodworking skills, including wood selection, measuring, marking, sawing, chiseling, and assembling. The focus will be on understanding the principles of joinery and gaining proficiency in using basic hand and power tools effectively. Key Topics Covered: * Introduction to woodworking tools and their proper use * Wood selection and preparation * Understanding mortice and tenon joinery * Layout and marking for accurate joinery * Sawing techniques for cutting precise joinery * Chiseling and refining joinery for a perfect fit * Assembling components to create the coffee table *. Finishing techniques to enhance the appearance and durability of the table A packed lunch is required although we do have microwaves a kettle and fridge. All courses are on site in Perranporth, Cornwall and run from 9AM to 5PM with a 1 hr lunch break included Minimum age for this Course is 16 Cancellation policy Non-refundable - Refunds are not available if canceled within 14 days of the course.
